The idea for Caturday Story Time was conceived after the library closed for the covid-19 quarantine. Although I am a Student and Adult Services Librarian, I jumped at the chance to contribute to the #OperationStoryTime movement that swept the web. I wanted to provide fun and creative story times for the children who were abruptly cut-off from in-person story times while incorporating my pets for comedic value.

In coordination with Adopt-A-Cat Month, Caturday Story Time and Caturday Crafternoon: Crafting with Kittens, are published on Saturdays in June. Caturday Crafternoon videos will be published at noon on the second and fourth Saturday of June. Our cat-themed craft videos utilize recycled materials and the adoptable cats from El Gato Coffee House Cat Cafe, Houston's first and only cat cafe.
