What Is Free Comic Book Day?
Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) is a yearly event held on the first Saturday in May where comic distributors pool together to release tons of free comic promos for people to take home. What started as the brainchild of Joe Field of Flying Color Comics in 2002, FCBD has exploded into an international event for people who enjoy comics to get together and celebrate their love of the art and story medium. It's also a chance to get excellent swag! This event is for people of all ages with comics geared towards all age groups. And yes! Manga count as comics!
