Copyright Basics

The four requirements you must meet to show/use a copyrighted work are: 

1. Use in an classroom setting
2. Must be a non-profit educational institution
3. Applies only to an in-person setting
4. Must be a legally produced version of the work – no copies or bootlegs

17 Section 110 (1) is specific to meeting these qualifications for use.
