- Pew Research CenterReports and data on public opinion in the United States relating to politics, media, social trends, religion, and more.
- Google TrendsGoogle Trends tracks searches in real time to reveal which topics are trending and where those topics are most popular, as well as historical data back to 2004.
Fact-checking sites
- SnopesSnopes is the oldest and largest fact-checking site on the web. Search with keywords or URLs to find out if a story you've seen on the internet has any truth to it.
- FactCheck.orgPublished by the Annenberg Public Policy Center, this nonpartisan, nonprofit site can help you determine if stories about news, health, and science are factual or not.
- PolitifactPolitifact is a nonpartisan site that ranks news stories on a scale of True to Pants on Fire! Use it to help determine if a news story you see on the internet is credible.
