REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum age: 15 years old
- Completed application
- Background check
How to Begin
- Complete the required Library Volunteer Adult Application or Library Volunteer Teen Application.
- Return the completed application to the first floor circulation desk.
- Allow 7-10 days for processing the forms and background check.
- Call 281.290.3210 to check on the status of your application.
- Library Volunteer Adult ApplicationRequired documents to volunteer at the library for ages 18+.
- Library Volunteer Teen ApplicationRequired documents to volunteer at the library for ages 15-17.

- Circulation
- Pulling books
- Kids Corner
- Assist with programs, crafts, etc.
- Book Buddies
- Shelf read
- Adult Programming
- Instructors for English as a Second Language Talk Times and Classes
- Facilitate other adult programs/events
- Friends of the Library (18+ years old)
- Staff the Friends' used bookstore
- Assist with book sales

Volunteer Spotlight
Are you interested in volunteering in the Friends of the Library Bookstore? Please carefully read the requirements below.
FOL Bookstore Volunteer Requirements
- Complete the FOL Membership Application - Must be a current member of the Friends of the Library, Lone Star College-CyFair.
- Complete the Library Adult Volunteer Application - New volunteers only.
- Consent to a Lone Star College background check - Takes approximately two weeks.
- Commit to volunteering 2-3 hours per week.
