International Studies/Global Studies Research Guide

This guide is designed to help you start your International Studies/Global Studies research.

Dear Faculty and Students,

We regret to inform you that the library no longer has access to the following databases:

History Study Center, ProQuest Statistical Abstracts, eHRAF World Cultures.

We are working on solutions which include video tutorials on Open Access databases and archival databases that curate the same type of sources and information. You can view our Academic Research You Tube playlists here:

If you have any questions, please reach out via email: or

Welcome to your International Studies Research Hub!

This guide was created to support the Lone Star College-CyFair Area of Concentration (AOC) in International Studies (IS) and it is still a work in progress. This guide will be updated with new databases and database trials that have an IS focus when available.
