What is a Cricut?

A Cricut Maker creates customizable designs by cutting, drawing, or etching various materials. The machine works by applying varying degrees of pressure onto interchangable attachments such as blades, pens, and other speciality tools. Makers can choose from ready-made cut files, or create their own designs using the Cricut Design Space program.

Training Required

In order to use any machine in the LSC: CyFair Maker Space, patrons must first create an account on Beanstack and obtain the corresponding badge. Badges are obtained by attending a one-time training session at any Harris County Public Library Location.

Note: Library staff will confirm that patrons have earned all appropriate badges in Beanstack before allowing patrons to book time to use any of the machines independantly.
