Democracy Rocks Treasure Hunt

Celebrate democracy and voting with the Democracy Rocks Treasure Hunt at the Lone Star College-CyFair Library. The hunt is designed to help Cy-Fair residents of all ages understand eight important lessons about our democracy and encourage participation in the November 8, 2022, elections.

The treasure hunt is sponsored by the League of Women Voters Cy-Fair, the Lone Star College- CyFair Library, and the Lone Star College-CyFair Political Science Club.

Lone Star College students will participate in the treasure hunt during Celebrate Freedom Week on September 14-15.

A treasure hunt for children ages PreK-18 will be Saturday, September 17, Constitution Day, from 10 AM - 2 PM.

Participants will walk around the Lone Star College-CyFair campus using a Treasure Map to locate eight Treasure Hunt art installations. Each installation has a Democracy Rocks Civics Tag that contains a democracy message. Participants record the missing word(s) from the back of the tag on the Log Sheet available at the Lone Star College-CyFair Library and then submit completed Treasure Maps to the library desk to be entered to win prizes.
