REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum age: 15 years old
- Completed application
- Background check
How to Begin
- Complete the required Library Volunteer Adult Application or Library Volunteer Teen Application.
- Return the completed application to the first floor circulation desk.
- Allow 7-10 days for processing the forms and background check.
- Call 281.290.3210 to check on the status of your application.
- Library Volunteer Adult ApplicationRequired documents to volunteer at the library for ages 18+.
- Library Volunteer Teen ApplicationRequired documents to volunteer at the library for ages 15-17.
Volunteer Opportunities
- Circulation
- Pulling books
- Kids Corner
- Assist with programs, crafts, etc.
- Book Buddies
- Shelf read
- Adult Programming
- Instructors for English as a Second Language Talk Times and Classes
- Facilitate other adult programs/events
- Friends of the Library (18+ years old)
- Staff the Friends' used bookstore
- Assist with book sales

Volunteer Spotlight
Are you interested in volunteering in the Friends of the Library Bookstore? Complete the FOL Volunteer Form and drop it off at the FOL Bookstore.
FOL Bookstore Volunteer Requirements
- Must be a current member of Friends of the Library, Lone Star College-CyFair.
- Must consent to a Lone Star College background check.
