The IRS's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs offer free basic tax return preparation to qualified individuals.

VITA sites offer free tax help to people who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns, including:

  • People who generally make $60,000 or less
  • Persons with disabilities; and
  • Limited English-speaking taxpayers

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)
Get free tax preparation help! The IRS certified volunteers will prepare and file income taxes for individuals with an adjusted gross income of $67,000 or less for free.

Bring your prior year tax return, this year's documents and your spouse if filing a joint return.

Assistance available in:
 English, Ukrainian, Russian, & Spanish.
